Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Development and Innovation:
  • Create and refine new dessert recipes, including innovative pastry concepts and seasonal variations.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design dessert menus that complement the overall dining experience.
  • Conduct research and development on new pastry trends and techniques.
  • Team Leadership and Supervision:
  • Lead and manage a team of pastry chefs, including assigning tasks, providing training, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor the quality of all pastry items produced by the team, ensuring consistency and adherence to standards.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to ensure smooth operation of the pastry section.
  • Production and Execution:
  • Supervise the preparation of all pastries, cakes, tarts, chocolates, and other desserts according to established recipes.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients to maintain freshness and quality.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders for necessary pastry supplies.
  • Presentation and Aesthetics:
  • Design and execute intricate pastry decorations, including piping, glazing, and artistic plating.
  • Maintain a high level of visual appeal in all pastry presentations.
  • Quality Control and Sanitation:
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring proper hygiene practices in the pastry kitchen.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on pastries throughout the production process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience as a pastry chef with a proven track record in high-quality pastry production
  • Deep knowledge of baking techniques, pastry ingredients, and dessert design
  • Excellent attention to detail and artistic ability in decorating
  • Strong leadership skills to manage a team effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting recipes
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹32,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
