Senior Operations Coordinator

The Senior Operations Coordinator position is an exciting opportunity to join our team and take your career to the next level. As a motivated and dynamic individual with experience in logistics within a multi-national industry freight forwarder, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the import and export logistics operations via ocean and air freight. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with regulations, optimizing shipment processes, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders in the supply chain. In this role, you will collaborate with various departments such as sales, customer service, finance, and warehouse operations. The position may require working outside regular business hours to accommodate international shipping schedules and time zones. Experience in Pharma Logistics would be advantageous, and there is real career advancement potential in this role. Your responsibilities will include logistics coordination, documentation and compliance, vendor and carrier management, customer service, cost control and reporting, and risk management. You will plan and coordinate shipments, manage documentation, liaise with freight forwarders and carriers, provide customer service, monitor shipping costs, and mitigate risks associated with international shipping. To excel in this role, you should have a strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, excellent organizational and time management skills, proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office applications, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Being detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities is essential in this fast-paced and dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, along with a minimum of 8-15 years of experience in ocean and air freight operations, import/export procedures, and international logistics.
