Full Time
Monitor the data and programs on a time-bound approach in line with the GIN/Farm Calendar and the activity plan
- Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results, prepare and share reports as per the reporting requirements
- Monitor the sustainability of the programs results
- Prepare and share timely reports to the line manager on project strategies and activities
- Suggest strategies for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the program by identifying bottlenecks and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks
- Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all program activities to the line manager/program manager
- Conduct capacity assessment on existing monitoring and evaluation system; develop indicators and a monitoring strategy for the program
- Provide inputs, information and statistics for quarterly, annual and other reports to the line manager/program manager
- Carry out the 2nd party verification process (internal audits) for the programs
- Report audit reports with detailed observations and gaps to the line manager/program manager
- To always be a team player and to work proactively in a well-coordinated manner to support and cooperate with all the team members across the board.
- To be proactively participating in any cross-functional team meetings and willing to take additional responsibilities and engagement as required by management as part of our growing and diverse business needs
Competencies
- Extensive travel within rural project areas within India will be essential.
- Ability, attitude & aptitude to understand agricultural & associated environmental concepts related to Water, Fertilizers, Pesticides & Chemicals, Green House Gas (GHG) emissions & Livelihood
- Consistently approaches work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude
- Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to go the extra mile to ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner
- Remains calm, in control, and good humored even under pressure
- Demonstrates openness to change and ability to manage complexities
- Responds positively to critical feedback and differing points of view
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office
Education: Master Degree preferably in Rural Development, Agriculture, Social Science, or related field
Experience:
- At least 5 years of core experience undertaking Monitoring and Evaluation in development/ sustainable agriculture programs implemented by national/international NGOs/UN bodies/Government
- Knowledge of major quantitative & qualitative monitoring methodologies and proven ability to design monitoring instrumentation tools
- Experience in monitoring and auditing all the ground-level activities
- Broad experience/ understanding of design and implementation of capacity building activities in M&E
