Role Overview

Senior Node.js Developer

Key Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and maintain scalable Node.js applications and backend systems

· Define system architecture, select appropriate tools, and lead technical decision-making

· Lead and mentor a team of developers; participate in code reviews and performance evaluations

· Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and project managers to define project scope

· Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability

· Ensure code quality, documentation, and security best practices are followed

· Take ownership of system integration, third-party services, and deployment pipelines

· Stay updated with latest trends in Node.js, microservices, cloud technologies, and architecture patterns

Required Skills & Qualifications

· 5+ years of professional experience in Node.js development

· Strong understanding of architectural patterns (MVC, microservices, RESTful APIs, etc.)

· Proficiency with backend technologies: Express.js, NestJS (preferred), MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL

· Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments

· Knowledge of frontend technologies like React.js is a plus

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break down complex systems

· Excellent communication, team leadership, and project ownership abilities

Nice to Have

· Experience in Agile/Scrum project management

· Familiarity with DevOps practices

· Contribution to open-source projects or technical blogs
