Senior Network Engineer

The Senior Network Engineer is a highly skilled IT professional responsible for the design, implementation, and management of complex network systems. You will work closely with other IT staff to ensure that network systems align with organizational goals and performance benchmarks. Your role will involve deploying large-scale network solutions, evaluating existing network architecture, and identifying areas for improvement. Your expertise will be essential in developing network policies and maintaining secure and efficient communications across various platforms. Responsibilities Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient network solutions for the organization. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues as they arise. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies. Develop comprehensive network documentation and technical specifications for infrastructure. Lead network architecture reviews and recommend strategic improvements or upgrades. Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access. Oversee the configuration and maintenance of routers, switches, and other network devices. Coordinate with vendors to procure necessary network hardware and software efficiently. Evaluate and integrate cloud networking solutions to enhance operational capacity. Mentor junior network engineers and provide guidance in professional development. Conduct regular network audits to ensure compliance with industry best practices. Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in networking to advise management effectively. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in network engineering or a similar role. Strong proficiency in network protocols and services like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc. Hands-on experience with network equipment such as Cisco, Juniper, or similar. Advanced knowledge of network security practices and principles is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure. Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or similar are strongly preferred.
