Senior Mining Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Mining Engineer to join our team in Odisha. The candidate must have hands-on experience in iron ore/mineral mining operations, mine planning, and safety compliance. The role involves overseeing day-to-day mining activities, ensuring production targets, and maintaining adherence to statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and supervise mining operations to achieve production and quality targets.
• Prepare mine plans, drilling & blasting schedules, and manage excavation processes.
• Ensure compliance with DGMS (Directorate General of Mines Safety) and other statutory requirements.
• Monitor safety standards, implement risk management, and conduct regular inspections.
• Coordinate with surveyors, geologists, and production teams for smooth operations.
• Manage equipment utilization, maintenance schedules, and cost control measures.
• Prepare technical reports, production data, and documentation as required.
• Support in environmental management, waste disposal, and sustainable mining practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mining Engineering (DGMS certification preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 2–4 years in iron ore/mineral mining industry.
• Strong knowledge of mine planning software (SURPAC/Minex/AutoCAD or similar).
• Sound understanding of blasting techniques, mine safety, and statutory guidelines.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and team management skills.
• Ability to work in remote site conditions with flexibility.

SALARY - 25,000 - 70,000
