Senior Microbiologist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Senior Microbiologist to join our pharmaceutical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting microbiological testing, monitoring environmental conditions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, cGMP, USP, EP) to support the production of safe and effective pharmaceutical products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform microbial testing on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and water systems.
• Conduct sterility testing, microbial limits testing, bioburden testing, and endotoxin testing as required.
• Monitor and test cleanroom environments (viable and non-viable monitoring) in accordance with cGMP.
• Identify and isolate microorganisms using microbiological and biochemical techniques.
• Support contamination control strategies and investigate microbial contamination events.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records in compliance with regulatory and internal standards (GDP).
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment (e.g., autoclaves, incubators, particle counters).
• Prepare culture media, reagents, and solutions as required for microbiological analysis.
• Participate in method development and validation of microbiological methods.
• Support audits and inspections by regulatory authorities or clients.
• Ensure adherence to laboratory safety protocols and company SOPs.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Microbiology (Mandatory)
• 5–8 years of experience in pharmaceutical microbiology (preferred).
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines (USP, EP, JP, FDA, cGMP, ISO).
• Experience with aseptic techniques and cleanroom practices.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
