Senior Manager - US Business Taxation

Roles and responsibilities :

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of tax professionals, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Allocate resources, monitor team performance, and conduct regular reviews.
• Oversee the preparation and review of complex US tax returns (1040, 1120, 1065, etc.) for individuals and businesses.
• Provide US tax advisory services, including tax planning and strategy formulation.
• Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and address client-specific tax issues.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with US-based clients.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for high-value clients, coordinating with US offices as needed.
• Implement best practices and drive process improvements within the tax team.
• Identify automation opportunities to enhance efficiency.
• Mitigate tax risks by ensuring adherence to IRS and international tax regulations.
• Review tax filings to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Competency Skills:

• Minimum 10 years of US tax experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role overseeing a tax team.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, Enrolled Agent (EA) certification.
• Proficiency in tax software (e.g., Thomson Reuters, GoSystem)
• Strong knowledge of US tax laws (individual and business tax), including IRS regulations and state taxation.
• Familiarity with tax research tools (CCH, RIA Checkpoint) is advantageous.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Attention to detail and a client-focused approach.
