Job Description

Program Ownership: Drive end-to-end execution of LUMI programs, including cloud migration (GCP), Big Data modernization, and AI/ML enablement across business units.
Agile Delivery Leadership: Manage multiple Scrum and Kanban teams, ensuring effective sprint planning, backlog management, and delivery of high-quality data platform capabilities.
Cloud Transformation: Partner with engineering, architecture, and data science teams to design and implement data pipelines, AI/ML workloads, and analytics capabilities leveraging GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, and Vertex AI.
Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate closely with technology and product leaders to define strategic roadmaps, delivery milestones, and measurable outcomes aligned to LUMI s vision.
Technical Program Governance: Establish clear delivery metrics, OKRs, and reporting mechanisms for visibility, risk management, and continuous improvement.
Process Optimization: Champion agile best practices, automation, and DevOps principles to accelerate development cycles and improve release velocity.
Team Development: Mentor senior engineers, foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and technical excellence.
Compliance & Security: Ensure all data solutions adhere to Amex s security, privacy, and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications

15+ years of total experience, including 8+ years in technical program management delivering enterprise-scale data or cloud programs.
Proven track record in managing Big Data, AI/ML, or cloud transformation initiatives in complex environments.
Strong hands-on understanding of GCP data and AI services BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, DataProc, etc.
Deep familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, Confluence).
Background in data engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines, data governance, and performance optimization.
Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate effectively across technical and executive levels.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
