Job Description

Key Responsibilities / Deliverables:

Engineer with experience in sourcing of commodities like electromechanical assemblies and bought-out parts (e. g. , voltmeter/ammeter, timers, LED lamps, CTs, lugs, wires, cables, wire harnesses, selector switches, consumables like resin and hardener, etc. )
Sourcing activities include development of assemblies for new products, vendor development, cost estimation, negotiation, rate settlement, and supplier follow-up
Good process knowledge and basic manufacturing concepts
Strong in cost estimation, negotiation, and material follow-up
Cost Saving: Achieve annualized accrued savings of 2. 5% of material cost budget through procurement optimization
Commodity Rate Revision: Between 1st to 5th of every month; must know advanced Microsoft Excel, VBA, Python
Develop parts within agreed lead time and cost
MIS reports, spend analysis, activity-based costing, zero-based costing, supplier de-risking and rationalization
Supplier assessment, training, improvement, and hands-on PPAP activity implementation at vendor end

Candidate Specification

Educational Qualification: B. E/B. Tech
Specialization: Mechanical Engineering
Experience Range: 8 to 10 Years
Critical Skills Required: Techno-commercial knowledge of MIG process
Desired Source: Electrical or Automobile Industry; lateral hires from Western Maharashtra preferred
