Responsible for procurement of castings, imported items, Traded Pumps, El. Motors, Mech Seals, capital items, machinery spares, and consumables.
Negotiate and establish prices and commercial terms for various items from time to time.
Periodic monitoring of performance of vendors with the help of QA, establish vendors rating and initiate actions for improvement / development of alternate source.
Coordinate with TSS/ PMPS / QA and MRP to achieve timely deliveries of various orders as well new product development initiatives are supported through active participation.
Identify and develop new vendors / components as per requirement.
Monitor advances and payments to suppliers as per the terms and conditions of the orders.
Monitor changes in prices of various input materials to ensure effective negotiations.
Guide subordinates to ensure implementation of systems and procedures religiously.
Coordinate with global category managers for cost performance reporting and ensuring target is met.
