What you will do Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will play a key role in leading large-scale organizational design projects within Amgen. This role will involve collaboratively partnering with Amgen’s HR, Finance and functional organizations to deliver holistic innovative and insightful solutions to a range of organizational objectives, ranging from how to the best structure teams to deliver on the organization’s strategy to determining how organizational structure can integrate technology and new ways of working. Roles and Responsibilities: Organizational Design Process Leadership & Support: Assume operational accountability for the delivery and execution of organizational design solutions within assigned organizational groups. Provide expert advice and guidance to functional leaders and HRBPs on the approach to deploying these solutions within organizations and ensure supporting materials are generated to prepare for and follow-up on design workshops. Show ability to influence stakeholders to ensure pull through of best in class organizational designs. Organizational Design Modeling & Analytics: Own the utilization of organizational design software and modeling tools to analyze and model organizational designs, generate scenario analyses and engage with in-house analytics capabilities to pull through best in class solutions. Support the creation of regular and custom reports and dashboards to monitor progress. Team Leadership: Lead a small team supporting organizational design engagements; onboarding, coaching and managing the workload of junior team members. Work with global network of leads to ensure engagements are supported on a well-rounded basis. Capability Leadership Participate in the refinement and curation of standard methodologies, SOPs and roadmaps around the conduct of organizational design work within the organization. Develop custom solutions and approaches to design work as necessary. What we expect of you We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree and 2 years of organizational structure and design experience or change management, or similar experience OR Master’s degree and 8 to 10 years of organizational structure and design experience or change management, or similar experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 10 to 14 years of organizational structure and design experience or change management, or similar experience OR Diploma and 14 to 18 years of organizational structure and design experience or change management, or similar experience Preferred Qualifications: Must-Have Proven experience in strategic organizational design, inclusive of change management, organizational structure and design, capability mapping and organizational assessment Strong business, financial and analytical acumen Proficiency in finance, HR and organizational design software and systems Soft skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities Strong leadership and team management skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Ability to interact with and influence all levels of management, and executives, as well as functional finance & HR leaders Ability to collaborate within a global team and across time zones Travel Readiness, some travel may be required to support workshops What you can expect of us As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
