Role Overview: As a Senior Manager, Network Operations, your main responsibility is to lead and develop a team of network operations analysts to provide excellent technical support for critical operations of a globally distributed financial network. You will play a crucial role in ensuring prompt detection, resolution, escalation, and reporting of service impacting events and incidents to maintain the network infrastructure's optimal health and performance. Key Responsibilities: - Implement effective Incident Management processes to prevent service outages and minimize their impact by proactively detecting, isolating, and resolving issues. - Develop solutions for Incident Management based on Case Study evaluations, including root cause flow charts and troubleshooting procedures to streamline fault isolation and service restoration. - Manage the career development and performance of Network Operations staff through mentoring, coaching, and identifying training programs tailored to individual skill sets. - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure operational readiness for new services, including assessing and validating new infrastructure, conducting pro-active routines for optimal network health, documenting services and dependencies, and executing recovery procedures as needed. - Conduct quarterly change quality reviews with Engineering, utilizing reporting and metrics to assign and schedule Network Operations staff effectively. - Represent strategic initiatives of Network Operations such as vendor service level reviews, Asset Management, and Capacity Management, coordinating pro-active maintenance activities to uphold infrastructure health, and tracking and reporting service incidents through metrics and trend analysis. - Analyze Network Operations functions, recommend operational improvements, and drive continual service improvement initiatives. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technology discipline with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience. - At least 4 years of experience in a senior technical or leadership role supporting a globally distributed enterprise network infrastructure. - Strong technical knowledge of networking technologies, hardware, routing, switching, and telecommunication circuits, as well as TCP/IP and Layer 1-3 switching. - Demonstrated skills in training and mentoring others, excellent customer service, communication skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks/priorities, and make calculated decisions in a fast-paced environment. - Proficiency in network monitoring systems, service management tools, and metrics analysis. - Weekend and off-hours support is required; financial industry experience is a plus.
