About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager – MES Development to lead the design, development, deployment, and continuous improvement of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES). The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in developing MES solutions for large-scale electronics manufacturing environments and strong leadership in .NET and modern full-stack technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

Lead end-to-end MES architecture, design, and development using .NET Core, C#.NET, Angular, MSSQL/PostgreSQL.

Define robust, scalable, and secure MES system architectures aligned with manufacturing needs.

Guide and mentor a cross-functional team of developers, analysts, and automation engineers.

Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and design principles (SOLID, microservices, API-driven architecture).

MES Development & Implementation

Oversee full lifecycle MES implementation: requirement gathering, system design, development, deployment, and stabilization.

Develop solutions for production tracking, traceability, quality management, WIP management, machine integration, and shop-floor automation.

Implement interfaces between MES and ERP, PLM, SCADA, test systems, and equipment.

Drive custom MES module development tailored to high-volume electronics manufacturing operations.

Operational Excellence

Ensure high system availability, performance, and reliability.

Lead problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement for manufacturing processes.

Maintain documentation, SOPs, and version control for MES architecture and applications.

Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with manufacturing, process engineering, quality, and IT teams to translate operational needs into scalable MES functionalities.

Engage directly with leadership to present progress, risks, and improvement strategies.

Work with global teams when required to align MES standards and technology direction.

Required Skills & Experience

12–15 years of experience in MES development, deployment, and support—preferably in electronics manufacturing, PCBA, EMS, or high-volume assembly.

Strong hands-on expertise with:

.NET Core, C#.NET

Angular (latest versions preferred)

MSSQL / PostgreSQL

RESTful APIs, microservices, message queues, real-time communication.

Proven track record of leading MES projects in large-scale electronics manufacturing plants.

Strong understanding of:

Shop-floor processes (SMT, Assembly, Testing, Packaging)

Traceability systems

Machine and equipment integration (SMT, testers, automation interfaces)

Industry 4.0 concepts

Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Ability and willingness to work onsite in Chennai.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate / Postgraduate from a reputed Institute in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Science Engineering

Experience working with global manufacturing teams.

Knowledge of DevOps tools (GitLab) is a plus.

PMP/Agile certifications preferred but not mandatory.
