Position Overview

The Senior Manager Liaison will be responsible for managing strategic relationships with government bodies, regulatory authorities, industry associations, and other external stakeholders. This role ensures smooth facilitation of company operations by enabling timely approvals, compliance, and representation in various forums. The incumbent will play a critical part in safeguarding organizational interests and supporting business expansion initiatives through proactive liaison activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Government & Regulatory Liaison

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with government departments, local authorities, and regulatory agencies.
  • Facilitate timely approvals, licenses, permits, and renewals essential for business operations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

2. Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a single point of contact between the organization and external stakeholders.
  • Build and nurture long-term professional relationships to support the companys strategic initiatives.

3. Policy & Compliance Support

  • Track regulatory changes, government notifications, and industry policies.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure adherence to guidelines and timely documentation submission.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and manage all documentation related to approvals, licenses, and government correspondence.
  • Maintain updated records of liaison activities, compliance deadlines, and stakeholder interactions.
  • Draft reports, presentations, and communication notes for management review.

5. Issue Resolution

  • Resolve operational challenges by proactively coordinating with authorities.
  • Address compliance gaps or escalations by providing timely solutions.
  • Support the company in managing audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.

6. Relationship Development

  • Continuously identify opportunities to strengthen institutional relationships.
  • Develop engagement plans to enhance the company’s visibility with government bodies.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • Law Graduate
  • 7–12+ years of experience in liaison, corporate affairs, government relations, or regulatory compliance.
  • Strong network with government departments and statutory bodies.
  • Proven experience in handling approvals, regulatory coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
