Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

Develop and implement sourcing strategies specifically for
domestic industrial chemical commodities
, with a strong focus on powder chemicals.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable chemical suppliers within India, ensuring consistent quality, timely delivery, and compliance with standards.
Conduct supplier due diligence covering capacity, reliability, and sustainability practices.
Drive cost optimization through strategic negotiations, vendor consolidation, and alternate sourcing.
Monitor
domestic market trends, price fluctuations, and supply-demand dynamics
to proactively manage risks.
Analyze spend data to identify opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to enhance long-term collaboration and performance.
Lead and guide a team of procurement professionals, ensuring alignment with business needs and category strategies.

Preferred Candidate Profile

8-12 years of proven experience in domestic procurement of industrial chemicals
, with major exposure to
powder chemicals
.
Strong understanding of
Indian chemical supply markets, vendors, and pricing mechanisms
.
Demonstrated expertise in supplier management, contract negotiations, and cost optimization.
Bachelors/Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Chemistry, or related field.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
