Job Description

As a General Manager - Design, you will be responsible for driving revenue in a specific region and overseeing the growth and performance metrics of the business and its employees. Your role will involve taking charge of critical business initiatives such as product launches, process improvements, category expansion, and vendor management. Your active contribution to business decisions through qualitative insights and quantitative analysis will be crucial. Key responsibilities: - Lead and manage a dynamic city team consisting of Business and Design Managers, Territory Area Managers, Designers, DPs, LPs on a daily basis. - Develop an ecosystem that fosters successful design experiences for both internal teams and customers. - Ensure high-quality design closure for Livspace catalogue products (Kitchen, Wardrobe, Storages, Furniture & Decor) and home improvement services in the region. - Drive key performance indicators (KPIs) including design sign-offs, error-free designs, sales penetration, customer satisfaction, and team happiness. - Act as the voice of the city and customers within Livspace, facilitating continuous feedback for improvement. Qualifications required: - Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field. An MBA would be advantageous. - Minimum of 6-7 years of experience in an interior fit-out business, managing revenue-generating teams, or selling design products/services. - Strong attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to articulate business requirements effectively. - Structured thought process, analytical ability, and a drive to excel in a fast-paced startup environment. - Strong leadership and people management skills, with prior experience in direct team reporting. - Deep understanding of the interior fit-out industry, market trends, and processes. - Proven track record in hiring, retaining, motivating, and managing diverse teams. - Training and coaching capabilities to enhance team performance and address any shortcomings. - Customer-centric mindset with a focus on understanding and solving customer problems effectively. This job requires you to be the Livspace leader in the representative region, embodying qualities of hunger, humility, and agility to drive continuous improvement and success in the design domain.
