Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager for Buying & Merchandising to oversee the entire product lifecycle for our lifestyle and sports product lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product development, buying, and merchandising, with a particular focus on menswear.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the product development process from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with brand standards and market trends.
  2. Conduct comprehensive market research to identify consumer preferences and emerging trends in lifestyle and sports products.
  3. Collaborate closely with design teams to create innovative products that meet consumer needs and enhance performance.
  4. Develop and implement long-term merchandising strategies that align with brand objectives and drive revenue growth.
  5. Analyze sales data and market trends to inform buying decisions and optimize product assortment.
  6. Manage budgets and financial aspects of the buying and merchandising process.
  7. Oversee product specifications and quality control throughout the development cycle.
  8. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  9. Monitor product performance and adjust strategies based on sales data and consumer feedback.

Qualifications

  1. Graduate from NIFT or MBA equivalent with 11-14 years of experience in buying, merchandising, and product development.
  2. Proven experience in handling the menswear category, preferably with brands like Westside, Benetton, Puma, Uniqlo, or Adidas.
  3. Strong understanding of the entire product lifecycle, from creation to retail.
  4. Excellent eye for detail and ability to spot trends.
  5. Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market insights.
  6. Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  7. Demonstrated business acumen and strategic planning abilities.
  8. Creative mindset with a talent for product innovation.
  9. Experience in sports product development is a plus.
