Role Overview:

Senior Legal Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with internal departments (HODs) and external law firms/ lawyers; attend conferences with counsels and provide regular legal updates to management on all pending matters.
• Prepare detailed legal briefs, Fact summaries, and analysis for litigation and advisory matters.
• Maintain and update documents such as

  List of Dates, Case Status, Synopsis

  ,

  One-Pager

  , and

  Smart Notes

  for all legal cases.
• Draft and finalize applications, replies, and official correspondence for submission to

  Police Stations

  ,

  SRA

  ,

  MCGM

  ,

  Slum Societies

  , and other government bodies, etc.
• Represent the Company/Group and file

  Vakalatnama

  , appear before various authorities including

  RERA

  ,

  High Court

  ,

  City Civil Court

  ,

  Small Causes Court

  Consumer Forum

  SRA

  ,

  GRC

  , and other quasi-judicial bodies in Mumbai & Thane.
• Independently draft legal documents including applications, replies, legal notices, and responses to correspondence from slum dwellers, MCGM / SRA, Collectors Office, etc.
• Maintain a comprehensive

  Legal MIS

  and conduct legal research as required.
• Vet correspondence involving potential litigation; take timely and appropriate action to protect the company's/Group’s interests.
• Explore and negotiate possible

  out-of-court settlements

  where applicable.
• Stay updated with the latest

  judgments

  ,

  circulars

  , and

  amendments

  in real estate laws; maintain awareness of the specialization areas of various law firms and counsels.

Functional Competencies:

• Proven experience in the

  Real Estate Industry

  (preferably in Mumbai)
• Strong expertise in

• In-depth understanding of:

• SRA Projects Litigation

• Maharashtra Land Revenue Code

• Bombay Tenancy & Agricultural Lands Act

• RERA compliance and documentation

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• LLB or LLM with 8–10 years of total legal experience
• Minimum 6–8 years of

  Real Estate legal experience in Mumbai

• Hands-on experience in

  litigation, SRA,

• Strong professional network with law firms and government legal bodies
