We are building a scalable platform with high performance, seamless user experience, and AI integrations to transform the education ecosystem.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Laravel Developer with around 5 years of experience, preferably having worked in startup environments, to join our core product team. You will play a key role in building, scaling, and maintaining our Laravel-based backend, ensuring the application is secure, efficient, and scalable to handle high traffic.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Laravel framework.
• Collaborate with the product, frontend (Next.js), and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Build RESTful APIs and integrations (Payment Gateway, SMS/WhatsApp, AI APIs, etc.).
• Optimize queries and database (MySQL) for scalability and high performance.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and role-based access control.
• Contribute to system architecture decisions for scalability (1 lakh+ trainers, 25k+ daily visitors).
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and ensure best practices (CI/CD, testing, version control).
• Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and propose technical improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• ~5 years of professional experience in Laravel development.
• Proven experience working in startup or fast-paced product environments.
• Strong understanding of MySQL (query optimization, schema design).
• Experience with API integrations (payment gateways, messaging services, third-party tools).
• Solid knowledge of RESTful API design and backend architecture.
• Exposure to AWS environment (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Good knowledge of CMS application development.
• Familiarity with Next.js frontend integration is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a startup/ownership mindset.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of caching strategies (Redis, Memcached).
• Experience with Docker or containerized deployments.
• Understanding of SEO-friendly backend implementations.
• Prior contribution to scaling user-heavy applications.
