Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

Senior Java Backend Engineer / Lead API Developer

with strong expertise in

enterprise Java development and API design

. The ideal candidate will play a key role in

solution design, API architecture, system integration

, and modernization of large-scale enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

Lead
solution design and API architecture
for enterprise-grade applications
Design, develop, and maintain
RESTful APIs
using
Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Spring Security
Work extensively on
microservices architecture
as we'll as
legacy monolithic Spring applications
Lead and mentor team members on
API development standards and best practices
Integrate multiple systems and third-party services using REST and messaging frameworks
Refactor and optimize existing code for
performance, scalability, readability, and maintainability
Ensure secure API implementation using authentication and authorization mechanisms
Work closely with DevOps teams to support
CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
Deploy and manage applications on
container platforms
such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and infrastructure
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural decision-making

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

8+ years of
Java development experience
at enterprise level
Strong expertise in
Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Security
Deep experience in
REST API design, development, and integration
Hands-on experience with
Microservices architecture
Strong background working on
monolithic Spring-based applications
In-depth knowledge of
relational databases
:
- Oracle
- SQL Server
Experience with
code refactoring, performance tuning, and optimization
Strong understanding of
CI/CD pipelines
(Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc)
Experience with
Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
Good understanding of
DevOps practices

Preferred Skills

Experience with
Apache Camel
(integration patterns, routing, transformations)
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ)
Experience with API gateways and service mesh

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior developers
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Proactive mindset with ownership of deliverables
