As a Senior Java Backend Engineer at our company in Coimbatore, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and developing high-performance, scalable, and maintainable backend applications using Java and related technologies. - Writing clean, well-documented, and testable code. - Participating in architectural discussions and contributing to technical design decisions. - Developing and consuming RESTful APIs and other integration mechanisms. - Implementing and maintaining database schemas and optimizing database queries. - Working with messaging queues and event-driven communication. - Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. - Participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing. - Communicating technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Troubleshooting and debugging complex issues in production and development environments. - Identifying and implementing solutions to improve system performance, reliability, and security. - Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry best practices. - Mentoring and guiding junior engineers (Potentially). - Sharing knowledge and best practices within the team. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 4-7 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development. - Strong understanding of core Java concepts, data structures, and algorithms. - Proficiency in Java frameworks like Spring/Spring Boot (Mandatory) and Jakarta EE. - Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. - Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra). - Experience with version control systems like Git. - Familiarity with build tools like Maven or Gradle. - Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito. - Understanding of agile development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills.
