Senior IT System Administrator

As a Senior IT System Administrator at our company, you will play a crucial role in providing advanced technical support, leading IT projects, and guiding junior staff members. Your focus will be on ensuring smooth operations and maintaining the IT infrastructure to meet the organization's needs. Here's what you will be responsible for: - Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for hardware, software, network, and systems issues. - Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across various devices and applications. - Lead incident and problem management processes, addressing root causes effectively. - Administer Windows/Mac OS environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365, and Exchange. - Maintain and support servers, storage, firewalls, switches, and wireless access points. - Ensure adherence to IT security best practices, including endpoint protection and user access controls. - Assist in planning and executing IT projects such as system upgrades and migrations. - Create and update technical documentation, SOPs, and user guides. - Manage IT asset inventory and software licensing compliance. - Provide mentorship and training to junior IT support colleagues. - Collaborate with various teams and external vendors when required. - Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed. In terms of qualifications, we are looking for someone who meets the following criteria: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience. - Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in IT support, with at least 2 years in a senior role. - Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking fundamentals, and ticketing systems. Your proficiency in switches, active directory, inventory management, access controls, server administration, and IT infrastructure will be vital in excelling in this role.
