Senior Instrumentation Control Engineer

As a highly experienced and visionary Technical Director in Instrumentation & Control (I&C) for Plant Design Engineering Consulting in Life Sciences, Pharma, and Biotech facilities, your role will involve providing subject matter expertise in instrumentation, process control systems, and automation strategies for large-scale projects. Key Responsibilities: - Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Instrumentation & Control systems in pharmaceutical, life sciences, and biotech plant design projects. - Provide technical leadership in FEED, detailed design, and engineering deliverables for instrumentation & automation systems. - Define and review I&C engineering standards, specifications, philosophies, and design guidelines aligned with industry regulations (cGMP, FDA, EMA, ISPE). - Lead the selection, design, and integration of process control systems, DCS, PLC, SCADA, BMS, EMS, safety systems (SIS), and advanced digital automation solutions. - Guide the engineering team in P&ID development, control strategies, loop diagrams, instrument datasheets, and system architecture drawings. - Provide expert input for hazard analysis (HAZOP, SIL, LOPA), risk assessments, and validation requirements (CSV, 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP5). - Collaborate with cross-functional disciplines (process, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, utilities) to ensure seamless I&C integration in plant design. - Advise clients on cutting-edge automation technologies, digitalization, and Industry 4.0 solutions in Life Sciences/Pharma manufacturing environments. - Support business development by providing technical expertise in client interactions, proposals, and project presentations. - Mentor and develop junior engineers, ensuring best practices and continuous improvement.
