This position will manage the companys import customs clearance operations, ensuring all processes comply with Indian regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong customs clearance experience and the ability to work closely with customs agents and government authorities to ensure timely clearance of goods.

Key Responsibilities

Handle import customs clearance for SKD/CKD materials, ensuring compliance with Indian regulations.
Review and verify import checklists and documentation before submission to customs.
Apply for and follow up on IGCR, SIMS, and PIMS certifications as required.
Coordinate with Customs House Agents (CHA) and customs officials to ensure timely clearance of shipments.
Manage customs-related queries and follow up to ensure cargo release within the required timelines.
Track and manage Bank Guarantee (BG) usage and ensure timely return of BG quotas.
Ensure compliance with BIS, WPC, and other relevant Indian certifications.
Maintain basic reports and tracking sheets using MS Excel.

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience in import customs clearance.
Practical knowledge of SKD/CKD imports and duty concession rules.
Familiarity with BIS, WPC, and Indian import compliance requirements.
Experience in handling IGCR, SIMS, and PIMS processes.
Prior experience working with or coordinating Customs House Agents (CHA) is preferred.
Good English communication skills (both written and spoken).
Proficiency in MS Excel for tracking and documentation.
