The Import Executive will be responsible for managing end-to-end pharmaceutical import operations, ensuring strict compliance with Indian Customs, DGFT, and pharma regulatory requirements, ensure timely clearance of APIs, intermediates, excipients, and packaging materials.
Key Responsibilities
Handle end-to-end import operations for pharmaceutical raw materials and packaging materials
Coordinate with CHA for filing Bill of Entry, assessment, examination, and clearance
Ensure correct HSN classification, duty structure, and exemption notifications
Manage Customs queries, SVB matters, and post-clearance compliance
Monitor clearance at Chennai Port / Airport and ensure timely delivery
DGFT & EXIM Activities
Handle DGFT-related activities including:
Import Authorizations / Licenses
Advance Authorization / EPCG (if applicable)
Ensure compliance with Foreign Trade Policy (FTP)
Maintain documentation for DGFT audits and renewals
Preferred Attributes
Experience handling APIs, intermediates, excipients
Exposure to Chennai Port / Airport operations
Detail-oriented with strong compliance focus
Good communication and coordination skills
