Senior Hogan Developer

Type: Full-time, Contract

Mode: Remote

Position Overview

Senior Hogan Developer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and implement solutions using
Hogan applications (CIS, CCS, OLS, Umbrella, etc.)
within the mainframe environment.
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements.
Enhance and maintain existing Hogan applications, ensuring performance optimization and defect resolution.
Develop batch processes, online screens, and interfaces between Hogan and other enterprise systems.
Participate in
system upgrades, conversions, and modernization projects
related to Hogan.
Provide production support, including root cause analysis and issue resolution.
Ensure coding practices align with
enterprise standards, performance, and security requirements
.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Create and maintain technical documentation for systems and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

8+ years
of hands-on development experience with
Hogan applications
(CIS, CCS, OLS, Umbrella, or equivalent modules).
Strong proficiency in
COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS, VSAM, CICS, and MVS utilities
.
Expertise in
Hogan APIs, Hogan batch cycle, and Hogan tools
.
Solid understanding of
banking and financial services domain
(deposits, loans, credit, or payments).
Experience with
performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting
in a mainframe/Hogan environment.
Familiarity with
Agile/DevOps methodologies
and tools (Jira, Git, Jenkins, etc.).
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with
Hogan modernization projects
(e.g., migration to distributed or cloud platforms).
Knowledge of
enterprise integration technologies
(API, MQ, ESB).
Exposure to
CI/CD pipelines
in mainframe environments.
Prior experience in
mentoring or leading development teams
.
