The Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Forward Deployed App Dev team. This is not a back-office coding job, you will work directly at client sites with domain experts to uncover requirements, prototype solutions, and deliver production-ready vertical AI applications using AppHub that solve complex, real-world problems. Most of your time will be spent creating high-impact apps on top of AppHub’s framework, but you will also have the chance to contribute enhancements back into AppHub itself, improving the platform for all users.

Most of your work will focus on building impactful applications on top of AppHub’s framework. When needed, you will also contribute enhancements back into AppHub itself, improving the platform for future deployments. From gathering requirements and shaping architecture to development, deployment, and post-launch iteration, you will own solutions end to end.

What you will do

• Work directly with customer engineers and domain experts to understand requirements, design system architecture, and ensure smooth integration with their environments.
• Own applications from concept to production, balancing speed of delivery with scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Build solutions on AppHub, integrating backend APIs, data pipelines, and machine learning models into intuitive, user-facing applications.
• Enhance AppHub when platform-level improvements are needed, contributing new features and capabilities.
• Lead technical discussions, document key decisions, and set coding and design standards for projects you lead.
• Create quick prototypes in Streamlit or React to confirm concepts with customers, then evolve them into robust applications.
• Work closely with internal platform, AI, and UX teams to feed customer insights back into the product roadmap.
• Guide and mentor junior developers when part of larger project teams.

What we are looking for

• 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience in backend or full-stack roles.
• Strong Python skills with experience in FastAPI or Flask.
• Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases, API design, Docker, and Git.
• Experience with one of Cloud like Azure, AWS, and GCP
• A proven track record of designing and delivering production applications, including architecture and technology choices.
• Experience collaborating directly with customer engineering teams on delivery and integration.
• Excellent technical communication skills, with the ability to explain complex designs to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Micro-electronics application domains.
• Familiarity with ML pipelines and working with domain-specific datasets
