Senior FPGA Development Engineer

Job Description

Designing, developing, troubleshooting, debugging, and maintaining large and efficient software systems for technology mapping, logic, and timing optimization steps of the FPGA logic synthesis software. Gathering requirements and functional specifications, and designing and implementing efficient data structures and algorithms in C/C++. Collaborating with the CAE team in test planning, execution, and customer support. Maintaining and supporting existing products and features. Ensuring that the software meets performance, scalability, and reliability requirements. Staying current with the latest advancements in FPGA design tools and methodologies. The Impact You Will Have: Contributing to the development of industry-leading FPGA logic synthesis software used globally. Enhancing the performance, efficiency, and reliability of FPGA design tools. Driving innovation in the implementation of FPGA designs, prototyping, and debugging of ASICs using FPGAs. Supporting the creation of high-performance, cost-effective FPGA designs through advanced optimization techniques. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet customer needs. Helping Synopsys maintain its leadership position in chip design and verification technology. What You ll Need: B.Tech/M. Tech in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering from a reputed institute. 1+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining large EDA software. Strong knowledge of data structures, graph algorithms, and C/C++ programming on Windows/Unix platforms. Familiarity with digital logic design, Verilog/VHDL RTL level designs, timing constraints, and static timing analysis. Working knowledge of FPGA design tools and flows is a plus.
