Senior FP&A Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior FPA Manager to join our Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) team. This role will focus on business partnering with the Engineering and Product Management teams. Additionally, you will play a critical role in monitoring and optimizing cloud spend to ensure cost efficiency as the company scales. You ll work closely with cross-functional teams to provide insights that inform financial decisions and optimize resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering Product Management Expense Support:

• Partner with Engineering and Product Management teams to track and analyze expenses, including headcount, software, and other operational costs.


• Develop detailed budget forecasts for Engineering and Product Management, ensuring alignment with company-wide financial goals.


• Collaborate with HR and other departments to maintain accurate headcount forecasts and ensure proper budgeting for staffing needs.


• Analyze software and tools expenditures, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency.


• Project resource allocation analysis

Cloud Spend Tracking Optimization:

• Track and manage cloud expenditure across various platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), working with technical teams to ensure accurate allocation and forecasting.


• Identify cost-saving opportunities by analyzing cloud usage trends, optimizing resource allocation, and implementing best practices in cloud financial management.


• Develop reports and dashboards to monitor cloud spend and performance against budget, providing actionable insights to leadership.


• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to implement cloud cost optimization strategies, such as rightsizing, reserved instances, and savings plans.

Financial Reporting Analysis:

• Provide regular updates and reports to leadership on Engineering and Product Management expenses, as well as cloud spend.


• Create and present ad-hoc financial analyses, business cases, and forecasts to support key decision-making.

Collaboration Process Improvement:

• Act as a liaison between FPA, Engineering, Product Management, and other departments to ensure accurate financial tracking and budget compliance.


• Identify areas for process improvements and automation, and drive efficiencies within the expense management process.


• Ensure financial best practices and alignment with company policies while providing insights and guidance to cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 10+ years of experience as a FPA, finance or in a related role.


• Technical Proficiency/ Tools: Netsuite.


• People Management Skills.


• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented approach.


• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
