Network Security Engineer

Position: Network Security Engineer

Project:

-onboarding new customers in Mumbai Data Center, migrating them to our Equinix Cloud

-new customers that we are onboarding now, basically setting up what I call a kit – firewalls, paraswitches, they ship them out to the customer site, they are preconfigured, with the help of a smart hands person, ship it out to the customer site, and bring up the site to site VPN – which is very important. Doing a lot of routing and switching..

About the Role:

Network Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and deploy FortiGate (70%) and Palo Alto (30%) firewalls.
• Set up routing and switching infrastructure for customer onboarding.
• Work with Forti Manager and Panorama for centralized firewall management.
• Preconfigure firewall kits and para switches for shipment to customer sites.
• Collaborate with Smart Hands personnel to establish site-to-site VPNs.
• Support customer migrations to Equinix Cloud from Mumbai Data Center.
• Troubleshoot and optimize network performance and security.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with

  FortiGate firewalls

  (primary) and

  Palo Alto firewalls

  (secondary).
• Proficiency in

  Routing and Switching

  .
• Experience with

  Forti Manager

  and

  Panorama

  .
• Familiarity with VPN setup and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with remote teams.
