Senior Finance Manager

Role Overview

The Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for end-to-end finance, accounting, taxation, audit, and controllership functions across nationwide operations. The role requires strong leadership in

financial governance, compliance, budgeting, and stakeholder management, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and control across all India-based entities and locations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Controllership

• Oversee end-to-end accounting operations across multiple locations/business units in India
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual book closures
• Review and finalize trial balances, general ledgers, and financial statements
• Ensure compliance with Ind AS and Indian statutory requirements
• Maintain high standards of accounting hygiene and documentation

2. Statutory Compliance, Audit & Governance

• Lead statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits across India
• Ensure full compliance with GST, TDS, Corporate Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory

requirements

• Handle tax assessments, notices, and regulatory queries in coordination with consultants
• Design and strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and risk control matrices (RACMs)
• Ensure zero audit delays and minimal audit observations

3. Budgeting, Forecasting & MIS

• Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting process
• Monitor budget vs actuals, cost controls, and variance analysis
• Prepare and present MIS reports, dashboards, and financial insights to management
• Support leadership with financial analysis for decision-making

4. Treasury & Working Capital Management

• Manage cash flow forecasting, fund utilization, and liquidity planning
• Oversee banking relationships, credit facilities, and interest cost optimization
• Monitor accounts receivable, payable cycles, and working capital efficiency
• Ensure strong controls over payments, collections, and treasury operations

5. Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary finance SPOC for internal stakeholders, auditors, banks, and consultants
• Support senior management in financial reviews, board discussions, and strategic initiatives
• Coordinate with operations, HR, procurement, and business heads across locations

6. Team Leadership & Capability Building

• Lead and mentor finance teams across locations
• Drive standardization of processes and best practices across India operations
• Build a high-performance, compliance-driven finance function

7. Process Improvement & Special Projects

• Drive process automation, system improvements, and ERP enhancements
• Support financial due diligence, restructuring, mergers, or expansion projects (India-focused)
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization, tax efficiency, and operational improvements

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in Indian Accounting, Taxation, and Compliance
• Proven experience in nationwide finance operations and controllership
• Hands-on knowledge of GST, TDS, Corporate Tax, Audits, and MIS
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• High analytical ability with strong business orientation

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) ICAI
• Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent
• 8-12+ years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts roles

Preferred Experience

• Experience handling multi-location / pan-India operations
• Exposure to large corporates, real estate, manufacturing, services, or MNC India operations
• Experience working with Big 4 / reputed audit firms
