Senior Executive – Yarn Purchase

Key Responsibilities:

• Order Placement & Execution:

  Prepare purchase orders as per RMR and communicate with suppliers.

• Supplier Coordination:

  Follow up with yarn, rubber, and spandex vendors to ensure on-time delivery, especially for urgent or sampling requirements.

• Inbound Logistics:

  Arrange vehicles for raw material movement to factories.

• Reporting & Tracking:

  Maintain daily yarn status updates for factories and weekly procurement reports.

• Sampling Support:

  Fast-track procurement of sampling yarns to support new product development.

• Emergency Order Management:

  Handle urgent/critical raw material needs to prevent production delays.

• Material Traceability:

  Maintain Excel logs for inward/outward movement of yarn, rubber, and spandex.

• Forecasting & Inventory:

  Assess weekly requirements across units, maintain minimum stock levels, and align with production & stores.

• Cost Management:

  Maintain and update supplier price comparison sheets for cost efficiency.

• Audit & Compliance:

  Ensure all ISO-related procurement documentation, forms, and reports are audit-ready.

• Cross-Functional Coordination:

  Update Sales on RMR status, coordinate with Merchandising & Marketing, and escalate critical issues to HOD.

• Vendor Relationship & Trust:

  Liaise with Accounts for supplier payment clearance and ensure continuity of vendor trust.

• Financial Processing:

  Update LC status, supplier payment schedules, and documentation accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate / Postgraduate in Supply Chain, Commerce, or related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in yarn/raw material procurement, preferably in the textile/elastic industry.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost analysis skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of ISO audit compliance is an advantage.
