Role & responsibilities

To check the quality and quantity of raw materials daily with the help of user departments and follow-up on the same on a regular basis

Acquire fresh quotations and negotiate with suppliers every time a contract is to be renewed.

To Generate monthly report on cost saving and submit it to the General Manager

Visit the suppliers to check on the hygiene standards, give suggestions for improvements and prepare a report and submit the same to the General Manager

Conduct a market survey of perishables and provisions once a month and generate a report that will form the basis of future negotiations with the suppliers to strengthen Vendor Development

. Analyze foreign objects complaints with the Quality Assurance Manager and the user department and follow-up on actions to reduce the same.

• Checking of purchase requisition with the user department, making purchase orders on daily basis and follow up on the purchase orders with the supplier.

• Typing out all the correspondence relating to the purchase department such as letters to the suppliers, comparison of quotations, foreign object complaints letters, general correspondence and the correspondence about imported capital items under the EPCG and DFCE Licence.

• Maintaining a file on the rate contracts for Central Purchase, Regional Purchase and Unit Purchase items in the MMS System.
