Senior Executive- Underwriter Bank Loan

As a Chartered Accountant with 2 to 3 years of experience, you will be responsible for underwriting loans and preparing reports/presentations. Your key responsibilities will include: - Making decisions on credit applications under the supervision of senior underwriters - Utilizing provided software to score credit applications - Working with the credit administrator on policies and procedures - Undertaking the analysis, evaluation, and underwriting of proposed credit facilities for customers and prospects - Assessing credit opportunities, identifying key risks, and structuring alternatives with relationship managers and credit officers - Preparing in-depth credit studies - Conducting research on borrowers and industries - Taking ownership of the credit process and making decisions in the best interest of the customer and the Bank - Providing support to account officers on customer calls as needed - Measuring covenants within loan agreements and communicating compliance to the relationship manager and chief credit officer - Completing annual reviews, modifications, extensions, renewals, and new loan requests for customers - Analyzing more complex credits with assistance from senior Bank staff - Recommending appropriate covenants, terms, and conditions for a credit request based on experience with comparable credits - Identifying policy exceptions within a credit request - Discussing risk ratings and rationale with relationship managers and credit approvers In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, you should possess the following qualifications: - Chartered Accountant or equivalent - Underwriting and analysis experience of loan documents, financial statements, and collateral documents - Ability to comprehend complex commercial credits - Knowledge of finance, accounting, Ledger Analysis, statutory dues requirements, and lending cycle - Proficiency in financial and accounting software applications - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and client service skills - Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines - Self-motivated personality This role is well-suited for individuals with prior experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area and performing Bank Audits.
