About the Role

Were looking for a motivated and detail-oriented communicator to join our team as a Senior Executive Corporate Communications. This role is focused on supporting both internal communications and external media/PR coordination. On the internal side, youll help build timely, clear, and engaging communications for Shahi's corporate employee base. On the external side, youll maintain media databases, support proactive story pitches, and ensure diligent follow-ups with journalists and publications. You'll support internal campaigns, write, review and edit content, coordinate across functions, and contribute to a more connected and informed workplace. The role offers hands-on

experience with cross-functional teams, exposure to leadership messaging, and the chance to grow core communication skills in a complex business environment. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow in organizational communication, storytelling, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and Pitch New Internal Engagement Ideas

  • Actively identify communication gaps and propose creative, relevant formats to better engage Shahis corporate workforce across locations and functions
  • Regularly pitch and experiment with new internal engagement formats such as team spotlights, Day in the Life series, leadership blogs, interactive surveys or quizzes, and audio/video snippets
  • Work independently and collaboratively to build campaigns or formats from scratch, with strong ownership of idea-to-execution
  • Tailor messaging and formats for a geographically dispersed white-collar employee base, ensuring relevance across roles (leadership, function heads, mid-level teams, young professionals)

2. Build and Deliver Corporate Campaigns

  • Lead the ideation and execution of topical internal campaigns (e.g. Womens Day, Earth Day, Inclusion Week, Mental Health Awareness) from messaging and formats to timelines and internal rollout
  • Design engagement strategies that go beyond email blasts think of multi-format

campaigns involving microsurveys, visuals, office installations, internal contests,

storytelling formats, and employee features

  • Partner with corporate functions like ESG, HR, and IT to build campaigns that align with strategic goals and improve organizational awareness and participation
  • Curate content for each campaign, while ensuring consistency and clarity in tone and messaging

3. Content Creation for Corporate Channels

  • Write and edit internal communications tailored to Shahis corporate audience —

including newsletters, internal magazine content, leadership updates, business

announcements

  • Develop content for key employee engagement formats such as:

Monthly/Quarterly newsletters (writing, curating, and coordinating inputs across

departments)

Town halls (scripts, speaking points, slides, post-event summaries)

Internal HRMS platforms (visuals, copy, upload scheduling)

  • Identify and capture internal stories (e.g., innovations, milestones, recognitions) from teams that rarely get visibility

4. Drive Visual and Multi-format Communication

  • Collaborate with designers, video teams, or external vendors to develop visual assets and multimedia content — such as videos, short interviews, event recaps, infographics, etc.
  • Where required, support small-scale scripting and coordination for internal AVs (e.g. leadership message videos, short employee stories)
  • Support event-based communication needs — including town halls, launches, internal events, and team recognitions — by helping plan and deliver content, comms support,and visual documentation

5. Communication Process Management & Feedback Loops

  • Maintain internal content and campaign trackers, editorial calendars, and campaign documentation
  • Monitor employee response to communications (e.g., click/open rates, engagement levels, qualitative feedback) and suggest improvements
  • Standardize templates, tone, and messaging formats to maintain consistency and quality
  • Contribute to quarterly or annual reporting on corporate internal communications and

engagement initiatives

6. Media and PR Coordination

  • Maintain and regularly update Shahi’s media contact database (media ID).
  • Support proactive story pitching by drafting pitches, identifying suitable media outlets,

and coordinating outreach.

  • Ensure diligent follow-ups with journalists and publications to secure coverage and

build long-term relationships.

  • Assist with monitoring media coverage and preparing reports for key stakeholders.

Who Should Apply

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media, English, or related fields
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships and project-based experience welcome)

Skills & Strengths:

  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills in English, with a strong grasp of tone, structure, and clarity
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Basic proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Google Docs, and email formatting tools; Canva or visual platforms is a plus
  • Reliable and process-oriented — someone who follows through and asks good questions when needed
  • Comfortable working with mid-to-senior management
  • Willingness to travel, observe, and learn on the ground

Nice to Have:

  • Working knowledge of Hindi or another Indian language
  • Prior exposure to internal communications or corporate writing
  • Interest in organizational culture and employee experience
