Job Description: Sr. Executive - Operations & Customer Support

We are hiring for one of the leading Freight forwarding Back Offices located in Chennai, India. A Fortune MNC (Captive centre) supporting the entire back-end operation for US/UK sectors. Currently we are recruiting the below Position.

Location: Chennai

Shift Timings: UK Shift - 1PM to 10PM - Mon to Fri

Experience: 3 - 8 years

*Candidate with AIR/SEA Imports - Ops & Customer support experience is preferred*

Job Responsibilities:

  • Always develop and maintain excellent service to internal and external customers.
  • Review and monitor shipment documentation for accuracy.
  • Operational duties include coordination with shippers, truckers, airlines, and agents for the export of shipments.
  • Maintain high work volume with low errors.
  • Arranging for pick-up or inland transportation.
  • Booking and document preparation (Airway Bill, invoicing, export declaration, pre-alerts, etc.)
  • Include maintaining communication with shipper, consignee, airline, and overseas agents throughout the process and choosing proper routing/airline appropriate to the customer's needs.
  • Maintain SOP (standard operating procedures) and customer profiles including key contacts, special requirements, contract rates and preferred routing/services/carriers.
  • Participate in quotes for overseas agents as requested.
  • Immediately report problems, operation disputes or discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Meeting client requirements in terms of data input, and general customer service inquiries related to tracking & tracing.
  • Follow-up with tracking and tracing to final destination and data quality requirement.
  • Communicate with Team Leader / Manager regarding progress and problems or issues.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule including outside normal business hours and after hours on call rotation.

Job Level Task List:

  • Nomination Acknowledgement // Contacting Shipper//Booking Haulage.
  • Co-ordinating with shipper for Loading // Chasing for the Cargo receipt// GRN verification.
  • Booking the schedule with Airlines // Arranging Chamber attested docs and COO (If required).
  • Verifying the draft with shipper and agent // Printing the final docs.
  • Verifying the cost and sell // Sign off // Sending Final pre-alert.
  • Arranging courier for the chamber documents (If required).
  • Airlines drop confirmation.
  • Job closure in EFSDG documents verification
  • Post flight tracking next day.
  • Snag issues and reprinting
  • DG checklist confirmation with Airlines shed.
  • Cross check with credit control team in-case it is cash or credit for new customer.

General Accountabilities & Financial Responsibility

  • Updating Master level cost - carrier cost.
  • Updating House level Cost & Revenue as per booking for self-routed shipments.
  • Updating house level Cost & Revenue as per the debit note for agent routed shipments.
  • Updating house level Revenue for agent routed shipment as per debit and default master.
  • Making payment to carrier.
  • Following up with finance team to get the cheque copy or TT copy.

Raising invoice to customer after clearance and delivery and after seeking confirmation from CS for self-routed shipments.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹550,000.00 per year
