Role Overview

Assistant Manager / Senior Executive – HR

Key Responsibilities

Labour Handling & Industrial Relations

  • Manage

    contract labour and permanent workforce

    at the factory.
  • Handle day-to-day labour issues including attendance, discipline, grievances, and workforce deployment.
  • Coordinate with labour contractors for manpower availability and productivity.
  • Maintain healthy industrial relations and address shop-floor issues proactively.

Statutory Compliance & Labour Laws

  • Ensure full compliance with applicable labour laws including

    Factories Act, CLRA, PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, Shops & Establishments

    , etc.
  • Maintain statutory registers, records, returns, and licenses.
  • Liaise with labour department officials, inspectors, and auditors.
  • Support internal and external audits related to HR and compliance.

HR Operations

  • Manage employee onboarding, documentation, and exit formalities.
  • Monitor attendance, shift rosters, overtime, leave management, and payroll inputs.
  • Coordinate with payroll and accounts team for accurate salary processing.
  • Support performance management, training, and employee engagement initiatives.

Administration & Employee Welfare

  • Oversee factory administration including canteen, housekeeping, security, and transport coordination.
  • Drive employee welfare initiatives and statutory benefits.
  • Ensure adherence to workplace discipline, safety, and hygiene norms.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in

    HR / IR / Labour Law / Business Administration

    .
  • 5–7 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or factory setup

    (mandatory).
  • Strong hands-on experience in

    labour handling, contract labour management, and statutory compliance

    .
  • Sound knowledge of Indian labour laws and factory compliance requirements.
  • Experience in dealing with labour contractors and government authorities.
  • Good communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle shop-floor challenges effectively.
