Senior IT Asset Discovery & CMDB Integration Engineer Remote

Full time, Remote India

As part of our global ICT team, you will lead discovery activities and CMDB integration for on-premise and cloud environments.

Your mission: deliver accurate, real-time asset data through highly automated processes and seamless integrations.

As a Senior IT Asset Discovery & CMDB Integration Engineer, you will

• Operate and optimize global IT asset discovery tools and troubleshoot scanning issues to ensure complete visibility. This includes working with protocols and techniques such as WMI, SSH, SNMP, and NMAP, as well as integrating with management platforms and performing Application Dependency Mapping to accurately capture asset relationships across complex environments.
• Design and maintain CMDB interfaces for automated, high-quality data exchange and monitor discovery data accuracy and completeness.
• Develop best practices and documentation for discovery and integration processes.
• Drive continuous improvement by integrating new data sources, leveraging automation trends, and evolving into a subject matter expert for IT asset discovery and CMDB data integration.
• Collaborate across IT and business teams to achieve a best-in-class CMDB and support IT Service Management goals.
• Foster cross-team collaboration to ensure seamless data flows and stakeholder satisfaction.

About you

• Advanced technical background with a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, strong programming skills, and extensive experience in IT infrastructure and asset management.
• Hands-on experience with discovery tools (e.g., ServiceNow Discovery, BMC Discovery) and API development/integration, plus familiarity with ITSM suites (e.g., ServiceNow, Atlassian, BMC, Ivanti).
• Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 tools, Windows/Linux servers, networking, cloud, and databases; certifications and ITIL knowledge are a plus.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, proactive approach, and ability to inspire confidence across diverse audiences.
• Comfortable working remotely across time zones and willing to travel internationally when needed.
