Senior Engineer II

As a Senior Engineer II at Emerson Actuation Technologies, your role involves collaborating with Global Project Pursuit Leaders, Factories, Project Management, EPC, VOEM, and Proposals team to provide technical support and position products within the Actuation Technologies organization. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Ensuring the quality of quotes is upgraded with <0.5% Right First Time External Impact. - Establishing and maintaining ALL End User Specification compliance reference guide. - Developing proposals strategy for global projects in alignment with GPP sales leaders and valve OEM sales managers. - Improving Quotation Quality and processes/tools of the proposals function. - Developing the technical skillset of proposals engineers at all levels. - Coordinating with Actuation Technologies quality teams at factories for compliance to project requirements. - Enhancing the accuracy of proposals being sent to customers. - Maintaining the database of factory special offerings. - Coaching the team on SMART responses to technical clarifications and representing Emerson in customer meetings. - Ensuring a clean order handover to the execution team. - Establishing functional contacts with other heads and proposals team leaders for aligned improvement plans. To excel in this role, you should possess: - Bachelor of Eng. or equivalent level in a related field or industry - 8+ years of experience in Engineering/Proposals - Excellent knowledge in Electrical, Pneumatic & Hydraulic Actuators - Ability to handle multiple priorities, work independently, and in a team environment Preferred Qualifications: - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT, Power Bi) - Ability to relate well with outside sales and peers - Experience with RFQ/Quote Tools and Sizing and Selection Tools - Excellent written and verbal communication skills At Emerson, the workplace values every employee, fosters innovation, collaboration, and diverse perspectives.
