Senior Engineer - Hardware

Role Overview: You will be joining Allegion as a highly motivated Senior Hardware Engineer, where you will be part of the engineering team working on designing and developing high-quality hardware and product solutions. Your role will involve collaborating within a cross-functional environment to ensure successful project outcomes and product reliability. Key Responsibilities: - Play a key role in the design and development of hardware solutions, working within a team to ensure successful project outcomes - Develop and refine Hardware architectures, ensuring functional requirements are met - Design embedded electronics including wireless communications, focusing on integration and functionality - Evaluate and optimize system performance, with a focus on key performance indicators and design improvements - Support PCB Design with a focus on manufacturing and testing efficiency, collaborating with manufacturing partners and ECAD Engineers - Utilize design tools for automation and simulation to enhance product development processes - Follow defined product development processes and life cycle management - Collaborate with teams across different locations to manage all phases of the development process - Conduct testing and analysis to enhance hardware functionality and product reliability - Demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to foster a positive and productive team environment Qualifications Required: - Expertise in designing/developing Embedded Systems based on Microcontroller/Microprocessor - Hands-on experience in designing and verifying various communication protocols - Experience in designing multi-layer PCB with knowledge of DFM, DFT, and collaboration with Contract Manufacturers - Proficiency in EDA tools like Altium, LTSpice, PSpice - Knowledge of short-range Wireless technologies like Wi-Fi, BLE, UWB, Zigbee, or Z-wave - Understanding of RF performance criteria and concepts - Knowledge of Design for EMI/EMC and compliance troubleshooting - Familiarity with specialized test equipment and manufacturing processes - Experience in product compliance, reliability testing, and manufacturing engineering - Seasoned in electronic product development processes and life cycle management - Strong communication, collaboration, networking, emotional resilience, negotiation skills Additional Company Details: Allegion is a global organization specializing in security around the doorway and beyond.
