Job Description

As a highly motivated Senior Hardware Engineer at Allegion, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of high-quality hardware solutions. You will work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment to ensure successful project outcomes and contribute to the overall product design and development cycle. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced design culture and possesses strong technical skills in hardware design. **Key Responsibilities:** - Play a key role in the design and development of hardware solutions, collaborating with a larger team for successful project outcomes. - Develop and refine hardware architectures to meet functional requirements. - Design embedded electronics including wireless communications for integration and functionality. - Evaluate and optimize system performance, focusing on key performance indicators and design improvements. - Provide PCB design support with a focus on manufacturing and testing efficiency, collaborating effectively with manufacturing partners and ECAD Engineers. - Utilize design tools for automation and simulation to enhance product development processes. - Ensure adherence to defined product development processes and life cycle management. - Collaborate with teams across different locations to manage all phases of the development process. - Conduct testing and analysis to enhance hardware functionality and product reliability. - Demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to foster a positive and productive team environment. **Qualifications Required:** - Expertise in designing and developing Embedded Systems based on Microcontroller/Microprocessor and associated subsystems. - Hands-on experience in designing and verifying various communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, RS232, USB, etc. - Experience in designing multi-layer PCB with a good understanding of DFM, DFT, and collaboration with Contract Manufacturers. - Proficiency in EDA tools like Altium, LTSpice, PSpice, etc. - Knowledge of short-range Wireless technologies like Wi-Fi, BLE, UWB, Zigbee, or Z-wave. - Understanding of RF performance criteria and concepts for wireless communication. - Knowledge in Design for EMI/EMC and troubleshooting compliance-related failures. - Familiarity with specialized test equipment like Power Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, RF Shield rooms, etc. - Understanding of Product Compliance, Reliability Testing, DFMEA, and manufacturing processes. - Knowledge in manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, and reliability engineering. - Experience in electronic product development processes and life cycle management. - Effective communication, collaboration, networking, emotional resilience, and negotiation skills. **Experience:** 5 years of relevant experience **Education:** B.E/B Tech or higher in EEE or ECE Location: Bangalore Allegion is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.,
