Senior Engineer – Bridges

Responsibilities

Analyze and design bridge structures based on applicable standards and specifications.

• Perform structural design, analysis calculations and design reports in civil structures (RC/ steel footbridge, long span carriageway, foundation, lift structures, underpass, ELS associated structures, temporary works, etc).

• Develop and review bridge design plans and specifications.

• Use engineering and design software (SAP2000, Midas, SAFE, ect.) to prepare engineering design documents.

• Coordinate with other disciplines in providing adequate information for effective project progression.

• Lead and supervise junior team members.

• Liaise with clients and various stakeholders regarding work specifications.

Qualifications

Degree holder in Civil/ Structural or related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in structural design of civil structures.

• Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices in concrete and steel structural design.

• Familiarity with European standards.

• Proven work experience as a Bridge Engineer or similar role.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD/BIM software (preferred).

• Preferably Chartered Engineer (MIStructE).

• Good command of written and spoken English.

• Strong communication, presentation and project management skills
