Role Description Job Summary: We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Azure, Docker, Kubernetes , and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will lead DevOps teams, architect robust CI/CD pipelines, and drive the adoption of cloud-native best practices in a fast-paced, Agile environment. This role combines leadership, architecture, automation, and client-facing responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with product owners, developers, and QA in Agile sprints to deliver value-driven solutions. Design, implement, and manage 12-factor, cloud-native applications using automation across provisioning, deployment, and monitoring. Lead a small DevOps team and mentor engineers in Agile delivery and technical excellence. Own the architecture, quality, and automation of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure. Ensure secure, compliant deployments in Azure by engaging with security and infra teams. Support production deployments, performance tuning, and incident resolution. Define and document best practices, operational procedures, and architectural decisions. Champion the adoption of containerization strategies (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless technologies. Participate in design discussions and provide technical leadership across teams. Must-Have Skills & Experience 10+ years of experience in DevOps with public cloud (Azure). Minimum 1 year in a lead role, capable of managing an Agile DevOps team. Strong hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform. Proven experience in containerized application development, orchestration, and automated CI/CD pipelines. Expertise in IaC, application monitoring (App Insights, Ops Insights), and cloud security best practices. Strong understanding of cloud-native principles, microservices architecture, and API integrations. Experience implementing Azure PaaS services (Web Apps, SQL DB, Service Bus, Event Hubs, etc.). Practical scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.). Solid understanding of Agile methodology and DevOps culture. Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills. Preferred / Added Advantages Background in application development or large-scale web applications. Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and 24x7 production operations. Familiar with incident/change/capacity management processes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities. Certifications in Azure, Kubernetes, or DevOps tools are highly preferred. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in DevOps, cloud computing, networking, and system monitoring. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, CKA) are a strong plus.
