This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Min Experience: 8 years Location: Thane JobType: full-time We are seeking a skilled and innovative Senior Design Engineer to lead the end-to-end design and development of new mechanical products, with a focus on products incorporating electrical and water-based hydraulic components. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in new product development (NPD), value engineering, and a deep understanding of engineering standards. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Independently conceptualize, design, and prototype new mechanical products through to production-ready stage. Integrate electrical and hydraulic functionalities into mechanical product designs. Drive new product development (NPD) initiatives, ensuring timely execution and production readiness. Conduct value engineering to optimize product cost, functionality, and manufacturability. Apply and adhere to international and national engineering standards (e.g., IS, ASTM, ANSI, BS). Customize product configurations based on client requirements and ensure seamless integration. Collaborate with factory development teams for experimentation, design validation, and necessary modifications. Coordinate with the QA team to resolve quality issues related to new product designs. Key Skills & Qualifications: Strong background in mechanical product design with electrical and hydraulic elements. Proven experience in New Product Development (NPD). Proficient in value engineering practices. Thorough knowledge of standards such as IS, ASTM, ANSI, BS, etc. Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams. Effective communication and problem-solving skills
