Senior Design Engineer

Job Description

Hands on working knowledge of Siemens NX 3D CAD software & Team Centre Hands on experience in New Product Design & Development (NPI/NPD) of electro-mechanical products. Good knowledge in diecasting, plastics & sheet metal component design & development. Good Knowledge on the Seal designs, IP ratings and rubber seal materials. Good knowledge on GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, dimensions, and structural analysis Impeccable attention to design detail. Having experience in connector design will be added advantage. He/she shall have the strong basics of mechanical engineering with knowledge on hand calculations, knowledge on IP sealing design. Develop and build prototypes and run tests to measure their level of function Prepare test plan, record and evaluate testing data, modifying design as necessary to bring them to safety, performance and efficiency standards.Role & responsibilities Knowledge on the Engineering Change Notification process for design changes. • Closely work with manufacturing teams during product manufacturing, advising them on design specifications, manufacturing process document development and providing physical assistance when required. • Ensure design of components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards • Able to understand industry standards like ISO, IEC, UL, CE e.t.c and implement in the design & development. • Attend Daily meetings and deliver the assignments given by the Managers as required. • Attend weekly team meetings to provide progress reports, obtain updates on colleagues progress, strategize on steps for following week and acquire information about projected emerging product lines. • Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to change • Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively • Able to work in a team environment with ability to work on your own, Self-motivated attitude • Meet the organization goals and targets and achieve by executing the plans meticulously. • Support the Team Members in case of problems.
