Senior Design Engineer

The Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end design and development activities, supporting Engineering and New Product Development (NPD). The role involves conceptualization, detailed design, validation, and continuous improvement of new and existing products.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop new product design ideas and innovative solutions.
  
• Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) for new and existing products.
  
• Create 3D models, CAD assemblies, and detailed 2D part drawings using

  Creo (Pro-E)

  .
• Perform preliminary design calculations and engineering analysis.
  
• Conduct

  DFMEA

  and ensure design robustness and risk mitigation.
• Develop detailed design specifications including

  tolerance stack-up, GD&T

  , and material selection.
• Create and maintain engineering product specifications and technical documentation.
  
• Support design verification and validation activities.
  
• Analyze design-related problems and implement effective solutions.
  
• Generate value engineering and value addition ideas to improve product performance and cost.
  
• Estimate product and production costs and assess the impact of design changes for management review and control.
  
• Select appropriate manufacturing processes ensuring product suitability within existing standard process flows.
  
• Provide technical support to Engineering and cross-functional teams for new product development and existing products.
  

Qualification & Experience Required

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

  .

• 3 to 7 years

  of experience in product design and development.
• Strong exposure to new product development and continuous improvement of existing products.
  
• Hands-on experience with CAD tools, preferably

  Creo (Pro-E)

  .
• Ability to support engineering teams with technical expertise throughout the product lifecycle.
