About the Role

GCP Data Engineer (L3)

Key Responsibilities

ETL/ELT data pipelines

GCS, BigQuery, Dataflow, Airflow

✔ Handle data ingestion from various sources – databases, APIs, streaming & batch systems

data cleaning, transformation, validation & quality checks

✔ Optimize data pipelines for scalability & performance

✔ Work closely with business teams and convert requirements into technical solutions

✔ Create dashboards & reports using Looker Studio or similar BI tools

✔ Ensure data governance, security, and compliance

✔ Mentor junior engineers and standardize best practices

✔ Troubleshoot issues and support production workloads

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of experience

Python & SQL

🔹 Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCS, BigQuery, Dataflow)

🔹 Experience with Airflow / Composer

Looker Studio / BI & reporting tools

🔹 Experience with data modeling & schema design

🔹 Good understanding of batch & streaming data pipelines

🔹 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

🔹 Ability to manage end-to-end data lifecycle

🔹 Excellent communication and leadership skills

Nice to Have

cloud cost optimization

⭐ Familiarity with Dataproc / Spark

⭐ Experience with CI/CD and version control (Git)

⭐ Knowledge of data security & governance frameworks
