Job Profile: Senior Cybersecurity Architect/ SME

Job Summary

We are seeking a senior cybersecurity architect/advisor to design, implement and oversee secure IT and cloud environments. The role requires deep expertise in cybersecurity principles, solution design, technical scoping and architecture integration, embedding security across applications, infrastructure and cloud platforms. The role involves advisory engagements, stakeholder management and mentoring technical teams. You will assess risks, guide remediation efforts and support incident response to strengthen security posture. Strong communication, leadership and proactive problem-solving skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

SME & Tool Optimization

• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) across the security tools portfolio, including but not limited to Grey Matter, Google SecOps, Azure AD, Varonis, Microsoft Defender, Proofpoint, Fastly, Human Security, ServiceNow, Zscaler, SentinelOne, ZeroFox and Qualys
• Identify underutilized features, recommend optimizations and ensure proactive value delivery.
• Define and align primary/secondary SME ownership.

Advisory, Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement

• Experience delivering and leading cybersecurity advisory engagements for enterprise clients.
• Ability to advise C-suite, board members and senior leadership as a principal security advisor.
• Conduct workshops, interviews and assessments to identify client security challenges and improvement areas.
• Provide consulting for incident response, remediation roadmaps and security transformation programs.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills to influence engineering teams, product groups and business leadership.

Vulnerability Management

• Own end-to-end tracking of vulnerabilities to full closure.
• Escalate blockers immediately and ensure timely remediation.
• Provide clear reporting and status updates to stakeholders.

Communication & Operations

• Strengthen communication channels between remediation teams and the customer.
• Ensure strict ticket lifecycle management in ServiceNow (no stagnation).
• Shift the engagement from reactive to proactive by proposing security improvements and operational enhancements.

Team Enablement

• Drive upskilling efforts including OWASP Top 10 training.
• Provide knowledge-sharing, best practices and process improvements.
• Lead strategic cybersecurity programs and high-impact security initiatives.

Qualifications:

• 14-18 years in cybersecurity operations, vulnerability management, or security engineering.
• Proven experience with enterprise security tools and cloud/identity/network security fundamentals.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks and secure SDLC.

Preferred Skills:

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Industry certification like CISSP be will be an added advantage
• Strong analytical and issue-resolution mindset.
• Proactive approach to process improvement and tool optimization.
• Ability to drive urgency, accountability and measurable security posture improvements.
