The Job

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Data Governance & Quality Specialist to lead enterprise-wide data governance initiatives. This role will ensure data integrity, compliance, and usability across systems, supporting business and technical stakeholders in driving data excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• • Governance Frameworks: Design and implement data governance policies, standards, and frameworks.
• • Data Quality Management: Define and monitor data quality rules, metrics, and remediation processes.
• • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business and technical teams to establish data stewardship and ownership.
• • Data Profiling & Cleansing: Conduct profiling, cleansing, and enrichment of enterprise data assets.
• • Metadata & Lineage: Implement metadata management and data lineage tools and processes.
• • Tool Utilization: Work with platforms such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Talend, Microsoft Purview, or equivalents.
• • Cataloging & Classification: Drive data cataloging and classification efforts across the organization. • Issue Resolution: Analyze root causes of data issues and provide actionable recommendations.
• • Strategic Contribution: Participate in data strategy and architecture discussions. 

Your Profile

Required Skills & Experience

• • 8 plus years of experience in Data Management, with a focus on Data Governance and Data Quality.
• • Hands-on experience with data governance/data quality tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Talend, Alation, Microsoft Purview).
• • Strong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and data stewardship principles.
• • Experience in data profiling, cleansing, and quality monitoring.
• • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and data privacy standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• • Proven ability to lead cross-functional data initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• • Certifications in data governance or data quality platforms.
• • Exposure to Master Data Management (MDM) practices.
• • Familiarity with AI/ML applications in data management.
• • Industry experience in Life Sciences (Pharma, MedTech).
